Hey, just a quick note to say that my original blog has been updated now and there are now 2 designs that you can use/modify, one for the Kaossilator and one for the Mini-KP.

Awesome dude! I just picked up one about a month ago. There is really a good way to hook it straight up to a computer is there?
ReplyDeleteYeah if you want to connect it up to your computer to record the audio out of it, this is something you can do. I recommend using a fairly decent sound card. I record audio into into my netbook quite a lot, so I use a Roland Edirol UA-1EX external sound card. They are very compact and simple to use. I managed to pick one up on Ebay for about £40. Other than that you can see what kind of sound card you already have on your 'puter and see if it has a "line input" connector that you can connect up with using a RCA to 3.5mm audio jack.

Hey thanks! Its cool to get some feedback. I've not developed the idea any further recently, but if I do I will update this blog.
ReplyDeleteThere is this guy called 3amsleep who has done a cool mod for his Kaossilator. It involves a lot more work than just sticking a bit of acetate in it, but it gives you loads more control over the Kaossilator. If you search for his name on Youtube you can find his vids. If I'm feeling brave I might try it out one day!
